A Build One South Africa (BOSA) delegation, including Leader Dr Mmusi Maimane MP and Deputy Leader Nobunty Hlazo-Webster MP, today met with the Royal Panel representing His Majesty King Misuzulu kaZwelithini at Parliament in Cape Town.
The purpose of the engagement was to receive a briefing on the proposed Ingonyama Trust Amendment Bill and to better understand the perspective of the Zulu Royal Household on the future of the Trust. This meeting was on the request of the Royal Panel itself.
The engagement was constructive and informative, and BOSA welcomes the opportunity for open dialogue on a bill with far-reaching implications for land rights, governance, and the dignity of communities living under the Trust.
BOSA’s stance is to promote a transparent, constitutional process that protects the rights and interests of citizens, while ensuring fairness and accountability in the management of communal land.
BOSA will continue to engage stakeholders as deliberations on the Bill progress in Parliament.
